I have read online that sub for a sub is bad. Now I am wondering why is a sub for sub bad? I mean doesn't have more subscribers will help any YouTube channel to grow? It is really hard for me to gain subscribers and I would like for people to subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Now to answer your question Why is a sub for sub bad? Most services that offer sub for sub use bots and they are not going to watch your videos. And if they do have some that will they won't watch the video very long. This will hurt your channel because it shows the YouTube algorithm that your videos are bad. Also, this goes against YouTube TOS. If people tend to start watching your video and then bounce off immediately, the algorithm is going to take it as a signal that your video is bad. And what do you think will happen when all of your subscribers bounce off each of your videos in the first 5 seconds which is what’s going to happen if all your subscribers are fake.
In my option, it is best for you to promote your channel using social media. The best social media sites to use are Facebook and Twitter. Now you can also gain real subscribers by promoting your channel on YouTube, Google, and even Yahoo. Just signup and pay for their ads. Remember if you ask someone to subscribe to your channel in exchange for you to do the same won't help your channel. And chances are they will unsubscribe at some point. I hope that has answered your question Why is a sub for sub bad?. Now if you still have some questions then please feel free to contact me at any time.

I think it's best to get subscribers the hard way.
